Thank you for hooking up with Butch DeSanctis Guide Service. At DeSanctis Guide Service, you will be pleased to have the best fishing and hunting experiences in Maine.
I am a Master Maine Guide and have over 20 years experience in the Maine woods and fishing on Maine lakes. I pride myself in catching "BIG" fish. I guide mostly on Sebago and Rangeley Lakes. However, I'll fish any lake or pond upon request.
My guide service is located 13 miles north of Freeport in the town of Durham. There are 20 lakes and ponds within a 30 mile radius of my home. Overnight accomodations are available in the area also.
From January to March, you will find my ice fishing shack on Sebago Lake (map) where you can catch lake trout that range from 3 to 10 pounds. On an average day, you may catch 5 to 15 lake trout on traps or while jigging. Sebago Lake freezes over around mid-January.

In the spring, I am back on Sebago Lake to fish for salmon as well as lake trout. I like to troll bait and streamer flies. My boat, the "Margie D", is a 17' Lund Alaskan that holds 4 people comfortably. The best time in the spring to fish is mid-April to June.
Book your trip early in the season for some fast action. All fishing gear and lunches are provided. Wait until you try one of Margie's crab meat rolls!
In the fall, I guide bird hunters and moose hunters in the Patten area (map) in zones 5, 10, 6, and 11. The best moose so far that was called in was a 910 pound bull shot by Jim and Dennis Pratt of Durham.
Thank you for selecting the DeSanctis Guide Service. You will not be disappointed.
Happy fishing and hunting,
Butch and Margie DeSanctis
